You stood the watch overseas.
Now find your people back home.
Post 7829 serves the Tri-Lakes community from wherever we gather — Back East Bar on Friday, the Chamber on Wednesday, the parade route on Memorial Day. No hall. No dress code. Just veterans who earned an expeditionary campaign medal and decided the mission doesn't end at discharge.

Our Story
A Medal of Honor namesake, a deliberate choice to have no hall, and the people who keep it all running.
MSG William J. Crawford
Master Sergeant William J. Crawford was awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary heroism near Altavilla, Italy, on September 13, 1943, single-handedly destroying three enemy machine gun positions while under intense fire.
Post 7829 carries his name as a daily reminder that the most meaningful service is often done quietly, without recognition, for the benefit of others.
No hall by choice
Most VFW Posts gather in a fixed hall. Post 7829 made a different decision: we show up where the community already is — Back East Bar, the Chamber, the parade route. This isn't a limitation. It's our strongest differentiator.
When we meet at Back East Bar in Monument, we're not hidden from the community. We are the community. Anyone who's served can find us, sit down next to us, and realize they're already among their people.
